Gary Lau - Robot's Revenge - Melbourne *FINISHED*

Postby Gary Lau on Sat Jun 09, 2007 3:06 pm

Hi all,

Once again, starting off a little bit late here at 2pm and have no idea what to do. Great to see a lot of great entries already though.

Anyway, better get to the drawing board and start coming up with some ideas or something. Good luck to everyone!!

After a page that turned me off and 3 hours of just convincing myself not to give up, here's the first 12 pages of my entry this year. Art is more like my '05 "SK8 or Die" story, anyway, hope you like! ;)

I've got another 12 more pages to go and I'm actually 2 hours ahead of schedule! But not sure how much I can keep this up...

Another 6 more pages to go. But I have to crash and hopefully get up and finish the rest. I haven't even had the chance to comment on everyone's this year either. Will have to just read everyone's on Sunday and Monday I guess.

Ha thanks Matt, I wish I had robots right now to make me some coffee, give me a back massage and help me draw some of these pages! :p

Good stuff, Gary. A robot with a bump on it's head? Really it's simply too cute. Looking forward to the wrap up...

Fantastic, Gary, there is nothing sadder than a Robot in tears (except for possibly a robot with diaohria)

I'm done! Hope you enjoyed it, especially that ending which I didn't exactly spell it out.

Not exactly how I imagined it and yes, there were a lot of splash and silent pages, but I'm glad I got to 24 pages for once. Had a 4 hour nap and I've still got 2.5 hours to spare. Wahoo!

Here's the false start page that I mentioned that I didn't like:

I'm gonna reply to the comments, go have a little rest and then I can't wait to go read everyone else's entries for this year!! :)

maggie: Thanks, Maggie! :)

thistler: Thanks, Josh! I did get up luckily. Gonna go check out yours next! :)

breachy: Thanks, Tim! Hope you like the wrap up. :)

Laocorn: Thanks, Hayden! Glad to hear you liked it and hope you like the ending. :)

mark selan: Thanks, Mark! Hahaha, wish I had read your comment so I could have had a robot diaohria scene!! :D

Edward J Grug III: Thanks, Mr. Grug sir! I had a squeeze at your entry this year, pretty mind blowing layout, I'll have to go and read it properly later! :)

dillon: Thanks, Dillon! Hope you liked the closure. :)
