Thanks Will. Ive been doing the speed painting thing for a couple of years now so getting colour down fast ain't as hard as just doing the inital drawings. Each page took about an hour and 10min but only about 30min of that was on the colour.

wow, that was super pretty! what were you using, if I may ask?

PS the person vacuuming around me says you draw nice boobies and you ought to do a porn comic ;)

Thanks :)
Pencil n paper scanned and coloured in Photoshop CS using a wacom tablet.

Not really one for the porn, I don’t shy away from illustrating nudity but not for the sake of it :)

Great work, and it makes much more sense than mine. ;) I still can't get over how quickly you work even though I've been witness to it. I think you have artist cyberware implanted.

hmm. Aren't you from the Megatokyo forums? I think I remember your name.

Nice story. I think the repetitive thing doesn't work in a limited amount of pages, but used to great effect here!

Guh. You speed painters making CGing look all easy. :P The colour is spiffy!

Bunnitos: Thanks, I don’t know about the quickly part there were definitely times there where I felt like I was moving like a snail, I really think I should have been able to do a full 24pages but food and the need for nicotine ate away at my time.

H PoP: Thanks, I’m glad you liked the way the repetitive thing turned out, I was a bit unsure of it at the time. Speed painting is one of the best ways to get used to colouring fast, I’d recommend it to anyone. As for the Megatokyo thing, yeah I used to be a mod over at the Art and Drawing section of the forums along with Merekat, I retired from the position late last year.

Wow, colour and everything.
I can see why you had to go the full 24 hours.
You had me at the naked woman, first page.

Yeah, full colouring like that would be painful. So kudos for that.

Though I don't think it would've hurt to have drawn an avacado in somewhere.

Practicecactus: Thanks, quite a few people seem to be surprised by the colour aspect, I wouldn’t have thought it to be that uncommon. There is always time for naked women or naked men for that matter. Nudity seems to be a strong theme in a lot of my work :P

ThomasCarter: Thanks. In retrospect putting an avocado in there would not of been a big deal. However when I did the comic I didn’t have any intention of posting it here, I was just doing it for the hell of it, a friend got me to post it here in the end. So I had not read the ‘include this stuff’ section. I was actually quite surprised at first by the number of entries that seemed to mention avocados. :)

Holy crap, all I could do we're some rushed, barely legible line drawings...and here you are doing full colour! Damn this comp is always full of surprises!
My 24 hour comic from this year which I'm still finishing....

Thanks, the colour was used for the most part so I didn’t have to spend time doing detailed line work. As you can see most of the lines are simple outlines and light on detail, I find I can add detail faster by digitally colouring

Hi Michael, you are elligable for the 16 page mature section if you wish and have all elements present (please correct me if I'm wrong oh great orgs). I can see swing and someone sleeping, do you have the words analgesia, unlikely or gherkin anywhere? I've looked through a number of times but cann't find them. If they are there can you tell me which word on which page?

Thankyou kindly

Liz - the friendly yet somewhat anal judge.

I didn’t actually make this comic with the competition in mind, thus any use of the set themes is purely coincidental and as such the words analgesia, unlikely or gherkin do not appear in the comic so I don’t think it is actually eligible as much as I wouldn’t mind if it was. :)
