Well, hello!

This is the first time I've ever tried to draw a comic. Probably the first time I've drawn anything that wasn't a graph in about ten years, too! Here are the first couple of pages -- hope it's a fun read!

Couple more pages now... Should probably have said that I started this at 10:30 on Sunday morning. I spent the better part of the day drawing and writing with Jen and Trev (go see their 'Butcherin' a Classic' entry. It's funny!), and now I'm just inking and scanning. And praying the coffee fairy will visit me.

Two more pages! Only a couple more to go -- 8 was all I was aiming for this time round. Good number, too, considering I had to leave half way through the challenge to go and see a concert!

I am *not* getting sleepy! Alright, maybe a little...

Aaaaaaand, I'm done! Much later than I expected, but it was totally worth it!

Before I stick pages 7 and 8 in, a couple of thank-yous. Trev, for the house, the paper, the pens, the hosting and the organisation. You rock. And most especially to both Jen and Trev for making the whole exercise so fun!

And you said you couldn't write or draw! Pants on fire! Congratualtions Nick, for the first non-graph you've drawn in ten years, this is a really tops piece of work- it's come up so nicely. Well done, you.

I shall attack you with all the steam powered devices at my disposal!

Now go graph how absolutely fantastic you are!

What ho!
A marvel, indeed. Now, I can see my folly in planning on claiming the centre of the galaxy as my own.
I will concentrate on Rowville for the time being. Soon it will be mine. Then it's just a hop, step, skip and shuffle to Fountain Gate!!!

Um, anyway, when I do that, I'll need your phyisicy, drawingy, helpy comedy.

Well done, Nick.

Ant.
I shouldn't be here.

Boffo! I say, that was a jolly good read, eh wot?

The simple drawing style worked really well (btw, it reminded me of The Preposterous Voyages of Ironhide Tom, by Joel Priddy, which I picked up on free comic book day) and it really tickled my funnybone. My fave part was the guest appearances by Einstein - the first had me laughing out loud, for real.

Thanks guys -- kind of you to say those things that are kind! I'm pleased to hear that it made some other people laugh. This is the kind of thing that makes me chuckle, and it's always gratifying to find out that I'm not alone!

The Preposterous Voyages of Ironhide Tom, eh? I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere...

And the lesson to be learned from this is, once again:
English gentlemen and robots are never a bad combination.

No-one knows science like astronauts know science I say!
sorry I'm late, this elephant totally copped a 'tude with me.
