Kenny - Play Grounds (Manga) - Melbourne

Postby Kenny on Sun Jun 11, 2006 11:50 pm

And here I am, starting my comic for this year.
Sorry for not being on the forums, but... well, I haven't been around anywhere online much. :p

Would have started earlier today, but I was working on an article for a mag. Now I'm just starting but I'm already fast falling asleep. This is gonna be fun....

Edit: Self intro. I'm Kenny. Some of you may know me as the OzTAKU art editor guy. Needless to say, I'm a manga fan. In particular, I love giant robots. Now, it puzzles me as to why I never tried drawing a giant robot story before, but now's as good a time as ever for me to attempt one.

Haro Wen. :D

I probably can't draw in my sleep. But I'll see how much I can finish.

A few character roughs.

Mmmkay. Roughly have my whole story planned out, although I don't think I'll finish. Going to bed now. Yawn...

Was wondering... With the little Nazi references, should I be moving this to mature?

The Game is an awesome film with Michael Douglas!
Nah, just kidding. (But it is, rent it if you haven't seen it)
Nice comic. I liked the dreamy manga style, and the sinister teacher.

I like the war that's never spoken...The meditative style...The unscrupulous androginous teacher with no nose...The question that's never out right asked, is a child still innocent when unbeknownst to them they are a weapon for war (cause that would suck if it was)...and the ending that doesn't end, because that's life...nice work.
