Postby thinlinebetween on Sun Jun 11, 2006 8:22 pm

Here we go

I started at 6pm and have come up with a short story

it involves a dragon (fierce one)
a heroine (with her own agenda)
and a town that gets flambe'd

i will be posting them at:

http://thinlinebetween.deviantart.com/

the first one should be posted by 8:15pm
and will add links to each page as they are posted

lets see how i go
good luck to everyone

the prettiness of this makes me hurt. Also, it has a dragon. Both of these things are pleasing.

Hey, nice art and a very sensible, wiley hero. Would be a good one to expand on. It seemed like you could've crammed more action and story into it had it not been all done in 24 hours.

thanks you
i had alot of after thoughts of the first couple of pages
particularly page 1 where i should have put more detail and action into it to grab the readers
but i 'm learning
seeing that all up it took just over 23 hours to do speed is an issue and i was kind of hard to jump straight into it without a bit of a warm up

thanks again

Hey, your welcome. It does trouble me how little commenting goes on around here sometimes. Its not like you posted your work up here, so you could keep stewing in your juices wondering what people were going to think of it.

Yeah speed is a hard thing to get past, especially I suppose, when you're trying to do such detailed pictures. It does surprise me how fast some of the people around here can churn out finished spit polished art in such a small time frame. Me I had the same problem, so many ideas, but not enough time. I had to just burn through the pages without really any of the attention I normally would have put into poses and detail and backgrounds. It looks rough as guts, but the jokes were my priority. As long as they were clear then that's enough...next page! Bam! No inks either.

Just keep working hard at it man and keep posting your stuff, eventually people will have to sit up and take notice. This heroine and her quest has a lot of potential, it feels so much bigger than just the pages of this comic. It could really be something worth developing further. I'm no expert though, I'm not very well read in this genre, but you did spark my interest.
