Sean Tay - Bad date. - Sydney (finished)

Postby Seano on Sun Jun 11, 2006 6:10 am

Finished my first comic a wee bit too fast.. since everyone else in the room was still working on thier entries.. I decided to start another one. Initially wanting to go for something more detailed compared to my earlier attempt.. Unfortunately, as the hours hopped by, sleep deprivation and the really odd piece of eraser that started to have a conversation with me kinda distracted me and .. well.. the comic just slowly went to shit as it went along... but at least I finished it... now I sleep.
Started at around 1am. 11th June, finished 4.30am 11th June.

So cool.

I'm not referring to the subject matter, just the art. Although flesh eating is cool too.

you did two? argh ...

I love the artwork. Verrrrrrry pretty. Oh yes. Very. story is fun too (canniballism doesn't get enough screen time, generally) and I like it as a comic drabble, completely removed from any obvious context, with no backstory or explanation.

Page 2 is my favourite because it has a) a dismembered corpse, and b) an unexpected astronaut. Nice!

I think this is the best art I've seen thus far. Even though it's not finished ;) Drawings don't creep me out, those medical shows where they show surgeries do a lor worse for me. Do we see your stuff elsewhere? Congrats :)

8 pages in 3 and a half hours. What a machine!

I really like the bit when the astronaut knocks, and how you explain the reason he is dressed so is for a costume party. Genius!

Thanks

Well, I'd really have to thank you guys though.
I kinda finished the first comic, looked around and realised you're all hard at work on your stuff... I kinda felt embarrassed and just did another . :P

Much fun was had and I'm definitely trying to take part again next year.
