Aalllll righty then.

I'm not actually starting for another 23 minutes because it's just easier to start at 11 Perth time, but I'm staking my forum position claim.

I just woke up and feel oddly naked an humbled in the presence of all my art supplies and fellow challengers.

i've recently converted an old shower/sink room into a little art studio, so today's its test run! Exciting, exciting, good luck everyone.

WWWOOOOOOO.

Ok, so it's taken me 2 and a half hours to do my first page. NOT GOOD. But on the upside, it's the only one in colour, and it's all real-painted, and I've written out my story so I can do the next few pretty fast to make up for it. I aim to be back on track hours wise by 8 tonight - ie: 9 pages done.

So here we go.

This one only took an hour, but I still need to work down the times. Go everyone!

Right, well I'm very slowly edging down the time each page takes. It's 6 hours into my quest, and I've finished 4 pages. Not good. Not REALLY bad, but not good. Here's 3 &4. Luckily I have the new Pearl Jam album to get me through.

It's been a while, but I'm back with three fresh pages! Looks like I won't catch up by 8 now, I'm only up to page 7 and it's been 8 and a half hours... well... it's getting better.

I have waffles for company. And cold/flu tablets!
Here be some pages:

This is pretty funny. I like the last panel on page 2, where Mal is giving a story with just an exclamation mark and waving of his hands.

The story is developing nicely too, in 7 pages you've got a really good setup with some nice characterisation.

These are the pages that killed me. I'm resigned now to only making the 16 page limit... but i'm aiming for around 18-20.

Here are pages 8-10... 10's the one that really got me.

Listening to the Hold Steady! WOOO!

That last panel was the best.

It's 11.45pm and I've done 12 pages. I'm technically only 45 minutes behind, but I can't keep this up much longer. I've got about another hour or two before I knock out, and then a few scrambled minutes tomorrow morning.
Should end up being around 20 pages...

so here we go. Page 12 is my favorite so far.

Well, I'm pooped, just plain done. My story is finished in a handy 17 pages, or a clean 16 if you don't include the cover that wasted all my time.

I'm scanning in pages now... heya sleepyheads.

The characters really grew on me as I read through it and the ending is just beautiful :) Great work!

Just to make reading easier for everyone, I've put all my pages up on my webcomic site as well, so if you'd prefer to download one at a time, or your internet is slow, then perhaps http://gonetoseed.smackjeeves.com/ is the way to go.

That was both touching and funny. I love the "hoodlum archetype" line.
And your musical choices. Always good to bump into someone who likes the Mountain Goats, Sufjan Stevens AND the new Pearl Jam album.
Seriously, nice twist with the female astronaut. That went Kaballah. Very Cool.
