Jo B 1 - mondo nero - Adelaide - Mature - finished

Postby Jo B 1 on Sat Jun 10, 2006 1:13 pm

Starting Now - 11.45am - will have posts in early hours tomorrow when this computer returns from a LAN. Good luck everyone :)
9.12 am - starting to scan all in - changed to "Mature" - some horror - nudity and bad puns.
Drawing this wasn't a drama - making it worth looking at - much harder - good luck with my handwriting! :)

These pages are as they were written - no computer jiggery pokery - most are still in pencil only. :)

The final 5 pages - had to do 25 plus cover to wind up the story in a fairly unsatisfactory manner.

I really like the jiggery pokery on pages 1-11 -- it gives the artwork depth etc.

also: the teeth smashing made me shudder, and now I'm terrified of bunnies.

Bunnies are very big in supernatural circles - they also have terrifying powers. :)

A Bunny, demons/monsters, and a naked woman...This comic really spoke to me.
Very trippy stuff. Love it.

Wow yeah, I love the way all of the imagery keeps coming back and tranforming, as fluid as a real dream. I know what you mean about mirrors in the nearly dark, creepy stuff. And the action sequence, involving vampire gypsies that came out of nowhere but are spoken of as if they were in the story all along, just like a real dream. You pulled it off, and I tip my hat to you.

Ther file size could be a bit smaller though, this took ages to load up!
My 24 hour comic from this year which I'm still finishing....

Hey good work! It's a really promising, surreal story. Somehow all the motifs all melded into one to give it a really spooky overall theme. I loved how the bunny kept turning up in different guises. At first i thought this was going to be an introspective sort of story, but as it went on, had some cool elements of adventure and imagination. I like the way you think, do you make any comics? have you got any on phasetwo? Well done!

I have only dabbled in comics - this is the longest one I have ever done - last year's effort, although 24 pages was more text than anything else. Phase two? I will investigate - thanks for your kind words :)
