Mark Selan - Poometti - Adelaide

Postby mark selan on Sat Jun 10, 2006 12:05 pm

I was hoping that I'd wake up with the ability to draw this morning but alas no - all i have is paper, pencil and a plucky determination to succeed.

I have a couple of ideas; there'll be less injokes than last year but mockerage all the same.

I'm shooting for 24 but want to get to sleep by 2am so I'll be taking lots of shortcuts ( ihave to think of them first)

be back in an hour with pages

Hello

I'm about to start, but my mind has gone blank! I have an idea but I've had this idea for a story for a long time!! I suppose that's cheating isn't it? Dammit why can't I think!

Technically it is cheating but its hard not to think of what you are going to do. If you've been thinking about using that great comic idea you've been contemplating for years and which will make you a superstar, I say hold that one back.

Just come up with some craziness and have fun.

Ok, I'm starting off with a comic strip i'm titling either "Its been awhile" or "Ginger vs Maryanne"

It is truly offensive but its offensive to everyone involved, myself included.

Ok, i might give those guys a rest for a bit - i have a couple more ideas but i'll whip'em out if i get desperate.

Otherwise Andy Finlayson has given me permission to use the art from something he did 11 years ago.

I'm not really sure what i'll do with it yet but have an inkling (i call that inkling trevor)

Copius amount of in jokes.

Again, this saw print in 1994 as part of an Anthology called Millenium. it featured Andy, Mick Evans, Michael Gregor, Greg Chapman and Rob Williams.

Thanks for letting me have a go Andy

I'm not sure which australian comics deserves the photo comic treatment; I'm thinking the Witch Kipper or something by Kipper(kipporess) Singh (which will be quite disturbing).

Any ideas?
