RE:page 5. i think the problem is as you mentioned, the girl is supposed to be reacting to the guy's stare, but she's facing in the same direction (left) as he is and they are on sperate tiers. the only way i can see to fix this is by combining panel 2 and 3 by going deeper into panel 2, diminshing the focus on the old man and increasing it on the guy in the wheelchair, enough to see see his stare. then in panel 3, an almost front on reaction of the girl. the last panel can then be extended, or another panel preceding it can add another beat. oh, and the background of panel 2 is inconsistant to that of panel 1.

RE:page 6. ah that crazy kookalorus (spelling?) how is light being projected into the room, when it appears to be dark outside? how? HOW?!
as for the wolves in the trees, i think terry gilliam's the brothers grimm explains this.

A full moon, perhaps.

As for page 6, it's lost a bit of it's spookiness since page 5. Now she's cooking and cleaning?! Maybe the dialogue will make sense of it...

Mr Paulos,
RE:6 - Why's the old guy reading a blank newspaper? And would it kill you to draw a bigger rack on the Broad?

The Gutterless panels confuzzled me for like, half a second as I was reading it, but then I realised you were going for like, a montage. (A snowball fight would have been funny in there, but I guess, thats not what you're going for at the moment)
I dig the kooky shadows and juxtaposition you got going with the light & dark, ya Ca-razy Cat.

..and now for my final thought.
You're like the Pimp, and the page is your Ho. You make it work for you, really selling it for all its worth.
In the medium of comics, is there really anything set in stone or is it ultimately up to the creator as to how he or she choses to light a scene for example. Especially to add mood to it's fullest effect. Sure , all comics could be done the same way, but where would be the fun in that?
Be good to yourselves and each other. Take care now.

here's a quick revision and a critque of that revision. in panel three, the girl's face should face a little more towards centre, just a little bit, because of the 180 degree rule, the guy faces left and the girl faces right yet they are supposed to be looking at each other. making the girl face towards the centre would be an attemp to negate the problem by giving it the appearance of a shot/countershot.

panel 4 would be better is the guy was in midshot rather than close up, so we can see him in the context of the scene.

Page five is fine, just fine. But curiously, the last panel???s main subject bore a striking resemblance to a certain Australian political figure.
