There's a separate post for the random words (in the Comikaze 24hr Comic Challenge Q&A forum, or stickie'd at the top of other forum pages).

Or just click here: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=14663
and go to the latest entry.

Have fun!

Guys, I NEED help!

I accidentaly saved my file = page 0, with a page 1.
So now I've lost my first page because I saved page 1 under the same name.
I still have my PS with page 1 open, I tried everything. ctrl Z, revert and they didn't work, 'cos I was alsready half way on this page.

PLEASE HELP ME! How do I get back the previus page I did?

question: I finished my comic within the time limit, but due to a bunch of IT problems (couldn't connect to the internet, scanner wasn't working, lost my USB YET AGAIN) I only just got it online (a few hours after time up) am I disqualified?

Gee - I'm afraid I don't know of a way to get it back at that point (If I understand the chain of events correctly).
Did the page exist only in Photoshop? Or was it scanned?

Maggie- Basically, I finished page 0, then I saved the file to my desktop. Then I strated on page 1, on the same file of page 0 (thinking I would save it under 'page1') before I start drawing. I did all digitally.
It's just frustrating, since I spent 3 hrs on it. So, I'm just wondering if there's a way to recover files from the trash in Photoshop? Not the desktop trash, cos I never deleted the file from the desktop.
Basically, Page 0 is now gone because page 1 is saved under page 0.

Yeah... No. Not really. You could set your undo level higher (from here on out), but then if you have to use that you'd lose whatever new work you'd done while undo'ing back. Safest thing is to just start a new page each time. But that doesn't help you now. Sorry. :/

scarlett - In the past we've let the judges decide whether they feel they should disqualify an entry for lateness or whatnot. In general, they've been very forgiving as long as no one objected. So, don't sweat it too much just yet. :)

Yeah, thanks anyway Maggie! :)
I threw my tantrum for a few minutes, but now I'm restarting over. That should teach me to save everytime! >.<

How strict are the rules on pages? I've roughed out my layouts and it comes to 13 pages. So would that go into the 8 page category then? A 13 page comic is OK, right? The rules say "we will accept entries between 8 and 23 pages."

Yes that's fine you'd be in the 8 page category there. Over 16 is the 16 page category obviously and of course the grand prize category is for fully completed 24 page comics.

Something else I'm curious about: Troy, how do you manage to post on the hour every hour for four whole days? Do you just not sleep, have you got it automated or do you have a few people logging in under your name?

I posted from 7.30am Saturday my time till 3.30 am Sunday, then Maggie took over for a bit, then I got back to posting 8am ish though to 9pm Sunday my time. Technically we only had words from 9.30am EST Saturday through to 11pm EST Sunday and while I was awakes for MOST of that time I certainly didn't do it all!
