ASA Emerging Writers Grants - Winners

The recipients of the ASA Emerging Writers Grants have been announced. You can see a list of who received a grant on their website:

4 of the 14 successful applicants were for Graphic Novels, and I think I recognize a couple of names of people who post on these forums...

My application bombed Oh well... next year.

Anyone know of any other grants for aspiring graphic novels authors???

Hello Lucas,

I have over the last 12 months been posting (under the writing section) grants and other publishing opportunities for a wide range of illustrated material – while most have closed many will reopen next year. My advice is bookmark the sites that interest you and keep a watching brief until the funding rounds come up again.

Kind of interesting that the ratio of winners by state almost mirrors the ratio of the assessment panel by state.
