Wonderfully creepy stuff, Bec, love the gothic feel. I particularly love the page where Mrs Harper heads out into the weather - the cross section of the house is great. Nice one!
Thanks!! That whole page is my favourite. Originally she was off to meet the devil, but with VERY limited resources (only all of google) she had to chat to herself instead. I figure it's a lesson in thriftiness.
Creepy but cool. Amazing that you can tell a story so effectively with characters that only have one expression throughout. Is that clipart or did you just search google for engravings or what?

The two silent panels of Mrs Harper and Lady Coffin after Catherine mentions her mother's hysteria is a perfect use of the (is it clip-art?) with their expressions, and perfect storytelling.
As an insider, I can reveal that Bec did indeed use Google to get pretty much everything... but I wouldn't call it 'clip art' Most of the stuff she found in an unusable state and spent an awful long time turning it all into the vector-goodness you see before you (using Illustrator - wonderful, in that it means the whole thing is resolution independent and could easily be turned into billboards). Plus, she combined various sources into certain images for the dresses and whatnot. Probably half the time she spent making this was just making the 'puppets', the posing came afterwards.
Hopefully I'll be able to convince her to do more... and with less time-restriction I'm sure it will be spectacular. I imagine something like Terry Gilliam mixed with that (Oh shit, I can't think of the name) person that does those creepy morbid photofit things... uh excuse my brain.
