Tom is kicking some righteous arse, huh?

Tom's artworks is definitely kicking arse on all kinds of levels!!! In this thread I especially like the environments he has drawn, the street scenes and that cathedral, with the columns casting shadows...

...and the idea of writing a short story based on Singapore is a winner I gotta say. That song is so evocative and full of imagery and everything feels like it has double meanings... to me Singapore feels a bit macarbe and sinister (I guess alot of Tom Waits' music is like that)... kinda like its tapping into those dark parts of the psych that we keep secret, even from our selves.

How did you interpret the line:
'Every witness turns to steam, they all become Italian dreams'

I always wondered what that line meant.. whats an italian dream?

The instant I heard Tom Waits the world changed and when I heard Singapore for the first time it changed again. I'm really pleased Jason chose to adapt that song for this anthology.
I'm glad you like the work Lukas. It's been a slow year and it's good to know things are still working. But there are no Italian dreams in this one I'm afraid.

This is great Tom. Good to see someone not so precious about their characters to let other writers play with them. Big applause to you. And fine looking art too.

Cheers John.
When I was finishing Don't go into that Barn I realised I didn't have a story to go on with. I was desperate but then I came up with a great idea - can't some one else do it? and the results have been fantastic.
It's been a lot of fun and great to see all the different angles different people take with one's characters.
Cheers guys I can't wait to have it all finished.

I did ask for this but just because you ask some one to look at your work work and review it doesn't mean they have to be nice about it. Check out what Scary Minds wrote: http://www.scaryminds.com/reviews/2011/comic030.php
