New Comic/Blog

Postby Oeleaus on Mon Mar 01, 2010 2:46 pm

It's been awhile, though it looks like most of the dodgy posts (spammers) are gone.

This is a bit of a plug for my blog but I thought I'd show the first page of a new comic I've been working on. It's really basic and is mainly practice for more serious work, gets the creative juices flowing or something.

And yes Jason, I'm not avoiding real work... well, mostly not.

Nice page. It kind of reminds me of both Alan Davis and mark Buckingham. I also liked your newspaper strip stuff on the blog. Very professional standard.

Daren - I'm glad you mentioned a similarity to western artists as most people peg my style as manga-ish, not any manga artist in particular, just the entire broad spectrum of that mangaverse.
JPaulos - I'll try to update the comic weekly. 'Try' being the key word.

I actually forgot to post the new blog address after all that, so here it is -

http://nicholashunter.blogspot.com/

and it's in my signature too for good measure. I know it's crazy but I went with my own name instead a number of random, strangley spelt internet names that I usually hide behind.

Looking good there, brother! I know you ain't slackin'...

I have been baffled when ask to describe your style. I heard someone else say "manga" and I can see why, but it really doesn't feel like manga to me...

Whatever it is, keep doing it, please!
