New folios and prints

Postby Matt Huynh on Wed Sep 22, 2010 1:04 pm

UPDATE: I'm posting process, sketches, new artwork, thoughts, etc. at the 'Updates' page. The first is up now, how comics gave me my first drawing lessons and the process behind my 'Convicts' illo.
++++

I will be creating an entirely new and original body of work every season over the course of one year – a series of series. To sustain this mammoth marathon and to gather some support and help for printing, publishing and exhibitions., I've set up a crowdfunding page where there are comics, books, prints and artwork available for your help.

I have also worked hard on preparing a set of very special folios and prints from my first 'season' of work to help sustain this project and am inviting preorders also at mycrowdfunding page.

I appreciate your support!

Stunning stuff. I'll be picking up a copy. It's a beautiful looking book.

I commented on your work and placed your site link in my The List facebook group. Hope that gets you some well deserved hits.

Congrats.

Paul.

Hi all,

There's only about a day or so left in my Fundbreak effort!
Projects are only funded if they meet their funding goal so this is the last opportunity to contribute, thanks for any help!

In other news, here is the invitation to my next show. If you're in Sydney early November be sure to come down and have a peek, the launch is November 3, 6-8pm -

Thanks for your support Paul & Daren!

Thanks Andrei,

The gallery's been going well. I'm only it's third show but there's been quite a few events, workshops, classes and things. I just happened to come back from an opening tonight and it was packed! There's also a book launch tomorrow, so there's quite a buzz around the place. Hope to see you there, it's a rare instance of both amazing location and amazing space!

That's great news about the Paper Mill. When I eventually get to Sydney it's definitely going to be a place to visit on my list (I've never been).

I'd love to attend but I'm trapped in The Land of Wind and Ghosts (Melbourne). I'll keep my beady eyes on it over the interwebz!

The Folio Society publishes beautiful, illustrated editions of the greatest works of fiction and non-fiction. For abounding of our titles we agency aboriginal artwork from some of the finest exponents of their ability in the apple today.
