Chris Gooch - Choices (working title) - Melbourne, Australia

Postby newcolossus773 on Sun Jun 10, 2012 10:22 am

I've been working at squishface with Aaron, Ben, Brendan and Russel. I've finished drawing, as of 8ish this morning, and will post pages after I scan them and stuff.

IMPORTANT: The pages are posted in reverse order (sorry), so if you want to read it, the comic starts at the bottom of the post.

Back from lunch! Okay, these file setting should work fine, and all 17 pages (sorry for above mistake) should upload.

Hah, I have to admit, I read the pages in the wrong order first, because they are displaying in reverse order in your post. I worked out my mistake from the file names and then read it in the correct order, but I must say I almost (almost) preferred it in reverse - it was kind of like Memento!

The art looks a lot better at full size than it does in the thumbnails, also - really bold and stark, and I like your use of black. The layouts of the third and second to last pages in particular are great. Nice work!

I did the same reading backwards thing that Owen did. :D;; Oops!

I really like the art style you've used - it works so well and is very distinctive. Great work!

Oh, read it in order. That was brilliant! Not the way I started thinking the story would go. Awesome!
I shouldn't be here.

Okay, I read the last four pages backwards before I figured out what was wrong. The right way around this works really well - a stark style with a circular narrative - nice!

Cheers,

This is really good... consistent, clean quality through the whole thing! It was like you didn't actually get tired. Good to have you at Squishface!

Thanks! I didn't actually get tired until I finished at 9, concentrating on the drawing kept me up. Thanks for having me at Squishface. It was lots of fun!

Love how you use the same picture at the start and end for effect. The second time you look at it, knowing what you know, it's so different.
