Comikaze 2011 - and the winners are...

Postby Troy Kealley on Mon Aug 29, 2011 1:12 pm

Without further ado - I've left you all waiting long enough...

The winners are:
24 Pages General - Sarah Milne - Ah! My overlord - Sarah wins the Black House comics print and publishing deal - well done again!

Jules Faber was a very, very close second; followed in 3rd by Althea Lim's Five Little Ducks

24 Pages Manga - Erin McGregor - Stirling Solitaire - A Shin Tokyo manga selection will be coming your way

Once again a very close second place - Loren Morris' Neo Cannibalism, followed by Rebecca Major

24 pages Mature - Ben Byrne - Coil - BMB will be taking the show on the road with a table at Supanova.

And in a year of cliffhanger votes Jacen Carpenter's Swearbot 2.0 was just behind; 3rd went to Jonathan and Daniel's Yellow Submarine

16 Pages General -(by a country mile!) Michael Sanford - Emperor of the Universe - A stack of Stark Reality graphic novels coming your way.

16 page Manga - Alastair Sew Hoy - Closet Story - wins comics and art by Doug Holgate

8 page general - Carmen D - Solstice - wins the Billy the Daemon Slayer pack thanks to Hayden.

Well done to our winners and thanks everyone who contributed to keep the challenge alive. Apologies that things were a bit last-minute and and wasn't able to give this my full attention, but hopefully next year I can get some extra hands to help out. Big thanks to Maggie for the kick start and web magics; Dean, and Liz for joining the judging panel, and of course our generous sponsors who make it all worthwhile!

Winners please contact me via PM or on Facebook with your details and I'll get your prizes organised

If I had to come runner up to anyone in the "mature" category, I'm glad it's BMB...the bastion of maturity ;)

Congratulations winners!

Thanks everyone for organising and keeping this yearly tradition of comics fueled by adrenaline, blood, sweat and energy drinks (usually mixed and downed prior to commencement :p ), alive and hope to do it all again next year!

Lol probably should of voted ay. I forgot all about this. Awww well my fault for not paying attention. I didn't see much hope of beating BMB. You did a really good job with that comic.

By the way everyone Daniel and I are publishing a comic through Storyteller Press in the next couple months. If you want info and details check out Everybody Loves Rooflight on FB.

Buy my stuff and give me your money.
