Our Books - Introduce Yourself - Phnom Penh

Postby Comics Lifestyle on Sat Jun 06, 2009 6:58 pm

Hi Folks,

Some of the 'Introduce Yourself' comics we have been drawing in Camboland.

We have been doing some teaching sessions - two classes of kids stopped by today.
Viva everyone going for the full 24! Most Cambodians have jobs and school so we proposed a one artist / one hour /one topic variation. If people want to do more, they are welcome.

Looks like we have just eight!

However.... two classes of kids descended upon us and we did some teaching, ages ranged from grade school to high school. Altogether taught about 40 kids what a comic is and some simple drawing basics.

The teachers were like "OMG, they're actually QUIET."

Will web up some pix tomorrow, signing off for now. Was very lucky to get the bandwidth, must do it again next year!

Looks like it was a fun day! Good on you for getting it all working so quickly.

Happy to help you promote this again next year - I think we can spread the word much further if we have more time :)

I love 'The Use of Hope'. That's just awesome.

And referencing Sinfest? Always a good day when I get to read some more of that comic.

Overall these are great, I hope your class gets to keep it up or at least continue on their own.
