The colouring is so stylish... like an old fashioned movie poster. I'm intrigued. Show me more, please :)

Jing - Yeah, I tried to get that effect but it's kinda hit and miss with the time limit

Matt - It's probably cheating using painter but it gives a good level of finish without much effort. Not that this comic was easy. It was definitely a rushed thing.

And now for the balance of the comic. If I do the challenge again I think I will do an 8 page one and try and give it a proper storyline. There was also a storm here this morning which suspended things for a couple o hours (the timing is really strange, normally only storms in summer). Anyways, enough excuses...

lawls. :D

Good stuff. I don't know why you chose CG, but you're a better man than I. That shit will kill you. It also looks pretty.

Hahaha, I liked it. Your art is seriously hot stuff! And Painter is certainly not cheating (I'm biased though)

I know it's a claim that may well have been called before... but this may be - BEST. COMIC. EVER.

I agree with Troy..this was seriously good. The art was spectacular and the story and humour were MMSMOOMN* funny.
Having just read your story I realised for the first time this year I forgot to use a completely black panel (the secret to shaving a few hours off the time). MY favourite scene- waking up with the picture stuck to his face.

hpop - Cheers! Yeh, CG can be a killer. My colour theory is pretty weak but painter is so forgiving. It's also another way of finding form, it's like 'sculting' (that's probably a bad analogy).

Pirotess - Thanks! I'm still learning painter and only use the artist oils.

Practicecactus - Thanks man.

Troy Keally - YEAH! WOOO! (tips hat in gracious manner)

jacen_c - You know when you are 12 hours or so into the challenge and not sure what'll work and what won't, when you get all paranoid and build a fort... i've probably said too much, I'm glad you liked it.

Can I just say how much I loved the lightening pages? A lot, that's how much. Nice style - the oil paint effect came up a treat. I think there's something we can all learn from your story, too.
