Emma-JeanS "Masked Skull vs. Dread Pirate Starfish" 18p fin

Postby emma-jeans on Sun Jun 08, 2008 3:37 pm

Heya Party People!
I started at 3.11pm yesterday, and finished six minutes ago.
I'm having scanner problems, so I have dusted off Gavin's scanner, and am currently putting it in now - sorry for the delay!
The comic is 17 pages long, and is called "Masked Skull vs. Dread Pirate Starfish".
It will be up as soon as humanly (and mechanically) possible!
:)

too tired to write a proper response, but i really like the different approach that you've taken with you comic, you've got a really good handle on the anatomy, doubly considering its a 24 hour piece!

cute. It's pretty understated, but it works. I like the real world versus imagined conterparts

I'm just echoing what everybody else said, but yeah: solid anatomy and a nice simple story, congrats. Troy's right, too - those big full page pics totally have potential for a sweet children's book.

Thanks everybody!
I am a little disappointed that I didn't get to colour/do backgrounds/finish layering pages within the timeframe, but this year I actually got more than 2 hours sleep AND I went to the Phenomenon RPG Con (in Canberra) and did a LARP during the 24 hours... So I'm also a little surprised I did as much I did!
In RL, I've started teaching kids that are much younger than I previously had, so that has probably impacted on the story/dialogue/layout.
