Gary Lau - Untitled - Melbourne

Postby Gary Lau on Sat Jun 07, 2008 5:40 pm

This will be my 7th attempt at this 24 hour comic challenge thing and this year I haven't had a good start. Urgent nature calls, different locations and a bit of a sore throat, I ended up starting at 3:33pm. Oh well, I usually start late anyway, but I'm struggling at 2 hours in, with only 4 pages laid out but not drawn... still have to reinstall my scanner, too.

My 3 random words are: massive, clear and emphasizing.

Will see how I go and I wish everyone the best of luck this year!!

Gary, I wouldn't be too worried. I'm nearly 3 hours in and I haven't drawn a thing yet.

Thanks for all your encouragement everyone, I really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to throw in the towel for this year... I just can't draw anything I like and I'm feeling really sick now.

Anyway, going to have an early rest and will look forward to reading and enjoy everyone's entries tomorrow! Good luck everyone!!

Best Regards,

Shame you couldn't do it Gary, but no point making yourself feel worse - there is always next year.

Worry not Gary, we all have our bad years...

What you need is unfettered creativity. I recommend recreational pharamceuticals!

Tonia: Yeah, it was a shame, but I'm glad I didn't force it. Feeling a bit better now and just enjoying being a reader this year.

Avi: Thanks, Avi! You always have the best advice and solutions to unfettering creativity. I'll have to stop snorting crack from the back of $2 hookers from now on.
