Erin McGregor - As Yet Unknown - Adelaide **FINISHED**

Postby Washi on Sat Jun 07, 2008 12:30 pm

Starting time is 11:30 Central Time (Noon for all you Eastcoasters)

Back in four hours with labor fruits.

Expect a Goat. And probably a Pig. I've been drawing a lot of pigs lately.

And we're done! With an hour and a half to spare, aparently - You can see where that time was made up - The work does downhill rapidly after the 1am mark. Now, normally I would list casualties - tools or body parts that didn't survive the process. But... The ball point pen survived. It survived the whole comic, and it's still going strong. Ball points are amazing. The only thing that didn't survive was my neck. Dear lord that canes.

Special thanks to Lythias, my boyfriend and scanning partner, who saved me from having to destroy the scanner in a fit of impatient rage. And to Nu, who kept me company and encountered Logan with me on the streets. Horay!

"Is my brain leaking out of my ears?" - my favourite line, and also sort of my reaction.

You took a rather interesting approach this year, and the whole story had such a dreamlike quality to it that the introspective philosophising and breaking the fourth wall could sit comfortably alongside each other. And I like the way the ending wraps it up nicely but also doesn't really explain much.

Logan is one cute dog.

Laocorn: Sadly, pop philosophy is my alternate setting when a REAL story is somewhat lacking ^^;

Zeal: .... dnm's? O_o

Owen Heitmann: That's the way I felt after writing that part too ^^; There's a pretty heavy-handed ammount of inspiration from The Butterfly Dream here, which is kind of whimpingly obvious.

On a side note, Logan is based on a dog a friend and I encountered while walking back to her place. Bloody thing ran across the main road and scared the hell out of us. I dubbed him Wolverine, since he reminded me of the Marvel character, but it waspared down to Logan ^^;
