Oh yeah, my forum name is Treyzuka, by the way.
Just being lazy and using Avi's account to post. Save a whole 30 seconds.

Technically I finished a couple of hours ago, but it took a while to upload for some reason. Time posted: 5.16pm 9th of July.

No, extremely sleep deprived! You gotta admit, my arbitrary title was somehow made into a coherent story.

You know you love Hokuto references (David commented when he came over that half the shonen on the market these days would be lost without hokuto to pillage from, and I am no different). I also rip off heaps from Vagabond.

You did make your comic conveniently fit the title it was given, though it was more punching a person which propelled them into the sky, rather than the pacifist if not entirely pull-up-your-pants wankery of punching air in the direction of the sky.

It's sort of sad to see most shonen manga produced currently are still running with stuff left over from the eighties.

This is a shonen... anything in life worth achieving is a side effect of defeating your enemies. Come now, you've read enough Bleach to know that.

Oh, you added text!
I thought it was great as a storyboard. :)

Yeah, I pretty much drew it in a way that would make it as straightforward to understand as possible (by that I of course mean that I didn't write a plot nor consider the actual text until after I was done).

Its ironic that even as the one who wrote and drew the story I found it less confusing without the words. That said, I was pretty out of it when I wrote the text, and had actually forgotten what I wanted them to say, so I just fit in whatever made sense (if there are any glaring continuity issues, thats probably the reason. And by probably I of course mean definately.)

Was I the only one expecting a much more comical story from that title?

Interesting to compare the unlettered version with the more polished final product.

Essentially i chose the stupidest title I could think of completely offhand, then attempted to base a legitimate manga/ comic around it. The result? Well, sillyness, but it is still cute.
