Cosplay

What the hell is up with "cosplay"?!? I understand that some people like comics and some people like cartoons and some people are obsessed for whatever reason with the Japanese examples of these media, but the whole "let's play dress up" seems to be a little bit too much to be just fan appreciation. Did I hear someone say 'fetish'?[/i]

It's not a lifestyle, it's genetic.

Daniel, you should see Otaku no Video... the interviews in that are funny as!

Seriously though, it's not just the anime fans. I've seen really fat Spidermen out there, and Comics R Us sells Batman TV series style costumes all the time apparently.

I sort of understand fancy dress parties and Halloween but Cosplay seems creepier somehow. I think it's the amateur theatrical thing, that's always creepy.

The whole thing freaks me out.Taking 'Nerdy' to totally higher level.
Except when Hot chicks dress up in sexy little costumes. That's totally cool.
