"A comic of CITY OF GLASS? But why? The idea sounds bizarre, even repellent: could there be any possible justification for turning a great novel into a graphic novel?"

While the start of this article in the march 6 SYD SUN HERALD immeadiately got my fur up, it turns into a fair review of a great piece of work. if your interest in comics goes beyond mainstream muscles and tits, you should check this one out.

Thanks for the review, I've just put in an order for it on the strength of that review. The first bit is certainly hackle raising, I hope it served as a good hook to get people in rather than people read the first paragraph, have their prejudices confirmed and move on.

Yes. It's a fantastic little comicke. One of my faves. Although I must confess I didn't realise it was a novelle as well.

While I am more horrified by the continual need for Australian newspaper headlines and bylines to contain a rancid pun or flagrant play on words. Treacle. While the writers may go to journalism school, the editors, it would seem, must be sent off to Gretel Killeen's Ace Alliterative Academy and Punny Pundits School.

I suppose something worthy of the review like "Comic worth reading again and again" is too informative and therefore only worthy of the bumper box. Are they saying the Aussie public is so reluctant to _read_ the paper despite holding it in their hands that they have to rope them in with funny (well... on a 3rd grade level) bylines.

(oh, and I'll check out the comic too... sorry... needed to vent...)

I've read the comic, and man did that gn go over my head. The ideas I COULD understand were pretty clever, but like 60% was too intelligent for me. I totally didn't get it.
