I really enjoyed myself at the con this weekend.

Highlights...
BMB's furious sketching was a little inspiring and mental since he didn't use pencils before inking! insane!
Meeting the Radelaide crew abiet briefly and getting some of their stuff. charming bunch.
Working the booth, as someone who's not done many cons it was interesting to be on the other side. I hope i did well, Dave had a lot of comics that needed representing and i hope we did them justice.
Beth Sotelo's work. With the Wildstorm guys her cute and quirky little zombie characters were a lot of fun and i felt the need to get a sketch. She hasn't done anything beyond sketches with the characters yet but she said expect something by San Deigo so a while to go yet.
Colin's awesome news.

lowlights. Not many really.
The List not being ready
Sales were low, think i sold more at doujicon but i WAS in amongst the whole LAC line-up this time so it's a bit apples and oranges.
Not having more time to meet more of the creators out there.
I didn't do enough sketches.

umm that's it. Thanks for a good weekend guys.

I had fun, pity the person I shared a table with ended up being a dodgy bootlegger. Otherwise, cons are fun!

I had a great time although I found very hard to stay awake and coherent towards the end. It was a very slow con for me. Not enough females or kids for me to do as good as other cons but it evened out for me by not having to travel interstate.
I'm still in a bit of a daze to be honest.

ha i know what you mean Ive, BMB and I were so delirious on Sunday we were saying meow to people rather than Hi.

Strangely nobody noticed.

Meanwhile for those that were sketching during the con do they want to link to their sketches? I saw some amazing stuff being churned out just at our booth.

Had a great time at the show. I think it was my best ever, in terms of sales figures (but let's not talk about profit...)

I wrote it up on my blog: http://jasonfranks.livejournal.com/68801.html.

I did three commission sketches, despite my protestations that I am a writer. I didn't even think to take any pics- sorry, Cactus- but that's probably for the best.

I also had lots of fun there. It was trippy finding out my way of sketching is apparently skew wiff, I've always thought I was normal.

I also had a momentary brain fart when I looked up to see Mr Hudson was standing at the LAC booth:

"!"

"!!!!!!!!"

"IlovedyouinOz!"

:p
