To all of you who've recently signed up, welcome aboard. I hope you'll stay around and become a part of our community and share your passions and thoughts.

If you're a writer or artists or just lover of comics, please jump in and say hi or post about something that's on your mind (or desk). We're an active lot and we're also very passionate (as you may have seen in our discussions on content and voting) and that leads to some great debate. But please know that I will, as admin, do my best to treat everyone fairly and that includes new members as well as old. This is my goal, feel free to remind me as much as necessary. :)

So please jump in and make your mark. And please feel free to tell us all a bit about yourself in the 'Introduce Yourself' thread here:

PS - I'd also like to encourage any of you interested in manga to also visit our sister [brother? cousin? hehe] site OzTAKU http://oztaku.com/

PPS - And check out the front page here at Pulp Faction for new releases and links to other sites of interest as well as to resources hosted here at PF (interviews, etc.)

Hello, I'm new here too, and not even Australian. Not even from the same hemisphere! How freaky is that. I'm from Finland and I'm looking forward of the 24 hour comic challenge! It sure sounds like fun.

Welcome, Ilmatar.

It's great to have you and you've got some great art on your portfolio.
And don't feel too bad about not being from Australia. We have people from all over.

Welcome, all. :)

thinline, you can start at any point after 11am Saturday morning as long as you finish by 11pm on Monday the 12th.
And if you can't commit 24 hours, consider doing a shorter page count (you can do 8 pages, 16 pages , 24 pages or anything in between).

is that 1 page per hour

It's up to you. If you do 8 pages in 5 hours, there's nothing wrong with that. If you do 16 pages in 18 hours, that's just fine, too.
The rules aren't overly complicated because the idea is to have fun and get to read others' entries. Prizes are a bonus.
Obviously if you do 8 pages in 24 hrs you won't be judged by the people/judges the same as someone who did 8 in 8 hours, which is more in the spirit of the challenge, but it's still OK for you to do so. But a lot of the fun and challenge is trying to meet that ideal 1 page/hr and see how it goes.

Hi everyone and thanks Maggie for the welcome.
Been wanting to join a community for so long and finally I've gotten it into my head that this actually qualifies as 'work' so I can claim it. Maybe. Not sure how... but thanks for making me feel so welcome so soon!

How do I write my subtitle under my title (hannijules)? Everyone else has cool things stated under theirs in a very comicky fashion. I want the world to finally know at last that I am an evil genius! (insert dorky cliched maniacal laugh etc. Cut. Print. That's a wrap).
