Hey Gary,

I'll kick off:

I released or was involved in:

DeeVee trade paperback (collecting 2001, Molotov and Flange); and

Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #200 (written by me and Eddie Campbell, art by Bart Sears).

Cheers

Daren

Edited in responce to Gary's question:

I think Micahel Evans should be up for best design for the DeeVee trade.

Thanks Daren! What categories would these be best put into? From your POV?

Any other product released this year by anybody else?

Does it count if you only sold your stuff at Supanova? (I'm TRYING to find time to get more printed and sold elsewhere. Honest!) If so, then I made up OCD 1 - 3, and my 24 Hour Challenge. All small press. Only print runs of 50! (More to come. Honest!)

Maybe put me into talent deserving wider recognition also? I don't know. But I'll put myself forward for Small Press Title! :D

Hey Gary,

I released Surfing The Deathline, episode 1 & 2 through ComiXpress, and there were a couple of posters and a bunch of website redesigns that went along with it.

I've also got a character pinup in Badlands Taxi, last I heard.

Cheers,
Matt G.

The Ink - Volume 3 was published this year - I'm not sure if it's small press title or independent title.
Meus Officium Est Abysus was published this year - small press title

Impact Comics has my vote for best retailer of the year - they have a wall of Australian comics, well presented and looking fabulous. They have signings which really help promote local comics - after the Women in Comics signing Platinum Grit and The Dreaming out sold V for Vendetta when the movie had just come out! They help get comics into libraries and schools.

I'd like to put Michael Li forward for Best Artist.

Can I nominate myself for the Achievement of the year with DoujiCon?

Speaking of which, are we going to attempt to distribute these at the next DoujiCon? If so, I know a place that does nice little trophy award things relatively cheaply ($65 for a half dozen little stone things)

Just in hopes of letting everyone know there is some real quality work coming out of Brisbane, if i've missed anyone i do apologise. That said, from looking through previous Ledger award winners, i'm surprised not to see (non Brisbaners) Ben Hutchings or David Blumenstein's work there. I'd also like to mention Tom Bonin who is doing some awesome work on 'Dicks' but i don't recall hearing it get much of a mention in the past. [/b]

Challengers of the Month '05 was released this year - published by MakePeace Media LTD. That would fall into small press I think.

I'd like to nominate Jacen Carpenter for production design for the cover of the book.

I'm currently shifting our charity store to our new sponsors servers but I'll have the book back up for sale by the weekend.
