"Take Me On" By Jacen Carpenter

Postby jacen_c on Sun May 28, 2006 8:06 pm

Thought I'd better submit an entry to keep the record going. Because I can't win, I've decided to break the rules and use a bit of colour. I got this idea this morning at about 7:30am when I stumbled across the A-Ha video clip on-line.

I'd love one. I didn't even get to sketch out an idea until this morning. a couple of days to draw it up would be great.

If not, i'll do it anyways damn you! :p

Ok well here's my submission. I'm not 100% happy with it. I only came up with the idea Thursday morning before work which meant all the drawing had to be done last night and the scanning, colouring and layouts tonight.

Given more time i probably would prob shade the characters as i think it reallybrings them to life, as well as doing some of those background thingies. Plus i think it's a bit crowded, so i may have reworked the layout but it's too lat for that now.. Bedtime!

The basic idea came out of a desire to use two characters I created for the "Gary Cotton Tales" progressive comic. 'Bones' O'Brien and Sawyer. The rest of the story.. no idea where that came from...

Good work rumpusroomie...man I love those pineapple lollies (now I'm gonna have to go to the shop and get some).

Looking forward to your theme for next month- and don't forget the 24hr Challenge next weekend!
