Theme: Autobiography.
Details: Shells (take that anyway you want)

Remember, this is a chance to appear in Volume 2 of a mini comic as well as grab some glory, have some fun, draw some comics and have a shot at the title of the 2006 Ultimate Monthly Sequential Artist (and Haberdasherer)

Autobiography as subject or discipline? Is it the art/theory and problems with autobiography or do you mean it???s an opportunity to paint your life stripped bare and bleeding on the canvass?

Hey Azahru... I guess there???s too many of ya to hobble now??

Ok then here???s a nice one that gets me all nostalgic and misty eyed??

Better Man

Written by Graeme Mc Donald 2005 ??

ABREVIATION KEY

MS= Mid shot
CU= Close Up
WS = Wide shot
RHS/LHS = Right/Left hand side
ULHC/LRHC = Upper Left/Lower Right Hand Corner

Better Man is a work of fiction any similarity between events and persons living or otherwise contained herein is completely coincidental.

Page 1
Panel 1
CU of a 15 year old boy with a Billy Idol haircut and earring
ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: I don???t know how it started?? stolen someone???s girlfriend, a smart mouth or maybe it was just that I stood out

LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: How it happened doesn???t matter anymore?? I was now a target

Panel 2
MS of three 15 year old boys the lager of the three boys (Marshy) has a 12 year old boy in a head lock. The 12 year old boy is crying.

ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: Brian Marsh... Marshy
LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: Every school has at least one

Panel 3
MS of the boy with Billy Idol hair being held up against a fence (feet off the ground) by Marshy???s forearm against his neck. Two other boys are punching into the boy with Billy Idol hair.

ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: Problem was I could never back down?? submit

Marshy: You suck cocks?? faggot!

LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: Too dumb to realise that the fight was always fixed

Panel 4
MS elevated boy with Billy Idol hair being chased into a driveway of a house by the three boys?? opposite the house is a public picnic table and BBQ area.

ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: Month after weary month a little more freedom was removed

Marshy: Get ???im?? Get the poofter

LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: A little more self-esteem stripped away??

Panel 5
MS slightly elevated from the POV of someone looking down inside a wardrobe. Leaning on a 45 degree angle is a bolt action .22 rifle

LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: Cadet trained??. could even hit a rabbit on the run

ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: From confusion, came a simple solution??Two shells, Winchester hollow points, designed to flatten out, to make a mess??

Panel 6
MS through the sights of a gun we see Marshy sitting on the picnic table across from the house, the crosshairs of the gun are trained on the Adams apple area of his neck.

ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: One round for the neck region, at best a kill, at worst a wheelchair??
LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: The second round destined for my soft palate?? a hollow point would take out the brain base on the way through?? just bite on the muzzle, the electric tang of steel on tongue and??

Panel 7 (long horizontal)
MS from POV of boy with gun. An arm is placing the gun back in the wardrobe.

ULHC DIALOGUE BOX: No! That???s for cowards?? that bastard wasn???t reducing me anymore?? I choose to live. To leave ?? to get out. Become educated. To have a family

LRHC DIALOGUE BOX: To have a future??

I would say that StikMan meant your autobiography or a true tale about yourself or your feelings but I'm sure it is open to interpretation.

Try using a website like Photobucket- you can upload your images to that site (must be smaller than 500mb I think) then you can create a link and cut and paste it into your thread on Pulp Faction. That way, your artwork will automatically load on screeen for everyone.
