Noooo, it's gonna suck so hard. The original was jolly good fun. This is just taking itself way too seriously for what should be whacky racers with violence.

It has cars with machine guns. OMFG MACHINE GUNS ON CARS! How can you beat that!?!?
Yes I am being tongue in cheek - taht said the original was so blatantly B-grade it was glorious in how bad it was. Sylvester Stallone never sucked so much as an actor - and that's saying something! But you're right - they are trying to make a 'serious' movie out of something so absurb... well as one reviewer said 'if the prisoners have access to all this high powered weaponry - why don't they just use it to escape!?!?' But it couldn't be worse than 'Death Truck', 'Class of 2000', or some of the other really, REALLY bad B-grade movies (involving cars shooting each other) that I wasted much of my 20's watching (well that and Andy Sidaris films - cause I was too cheap to rent actual porn!) Anyway so you can see why for me this is a bit of a fanboy high - I have countless converted model cars at home that have added armour plating, roll cages, guns and ramming spikes; so you can see why I'm excited about this one!

I also like this movie. I llike the stunts of cars and the computerized way of racing cars. According to me the best seen of this movie is that when the racing has going to start between " Jason Statham" and "Tyrese Gibson" nearby the ending time of the movie..........
