Kenny - Strawberries Armour, Melbourne

Postby Kenny on Sun Jun 12, 2005 3:22 am

Haro. Sorry for not posting earlier. I actually started at 5pm Saturday, and I've just been drawing so I haven't stopped to upload until now. Going for 24 pages.

And yes, I copped out and used Kipper as a name too.

Thanks LordGaz. :)

Here's the rest of my comic. I was originally aiming to do a girly romance thing, but then I got carried away with fight scenes.... And then there was too much comedy due to all the funny stuff everyone else was doing.... And finally, I got tired and decided to cop out on the ending.

Hey Kenny, you managed some really great action shots in there! And I'm relieved the ending wasn't as cheesy as it could've been. I can still sorta hear the soap opera music in the back of my head, though. XD

Thanks guys.

The ending was actually going to be incredibly cheesy, and the conversation about Kip actually liking Leina was going to be a lot longer. If I had more time, this would definitely been a lot sappier, with more crying and more crying, so I guess you guys are lucky I was sleepy and not thinking straight. :D

Nice story. When I read your comment before the second lot of pages, I was afraid you were going to completely subvert the situation you'd set up. But instead you only half subverted it, so there was still the cute resolution of the romantic misunderstanding, but comedy as well, making it both emo and funny, which is a good combination in my book.
