Thanks for the kind words all. I appreciate the encouragement!

Well technically it is because they're just geometric shapes, so really take to perspective well. And I draw from models so that helps too. However they take up a lot of time and it's really slowed me down this time around.

I just wish I could draw people (or dogs in this case!) as well as you guys!!

It was going to finish with a bigger car chase but ran out of time... however I hope to make this a continuing series on my website so we'll see!

Just noticed that on a normal moinitor (I have an LCD at home) the scans aren't showing up so well, losing a lot of the detial that bogged me down. So I'm going to rescan the art tonight and see if I can make it more legible.

I saw your pages ealier on and I have to say you got some of those cars close to spot on. When you say you reference them, do you just use model cars or some photos as well? (I'd be keen to know how Shigeno Shuichi from Initial D gets his cars looking so real at all angles).

And in regards to your comment, I actually have Ronin on DVD lol and I'll take your advice and check out the directing more closely the next time I do a chase.

Lastly, it's also good to see another action comic in the entries :P

Yeah I use models, photos, whatever I can get my hands on! Manufacturer websties are handy too. Oh and I have a freind with an R34 Skyline, in fact we just went cruising with it today!

I think the intitial D guy has actual blueprints he works from - that i'd love to get my hands on!

That's really awesome.... those pencils are great. You could easily ink em up and have a polished little comic. And yeah, good to see someone doing an action comic!

I'd kill to be able to draw cars that well in a normal sitting, let alone a 24 hour comic! And you also do action anthropomorphism really really well.

Thank you all for the kind words! And thanks for all the votes people - I edge a little closer to the winners circle every year which is really encouraging. I make a rod for my own back by drawing cars and high action stuff and detailed backgrounds etc. - but given time hopefully i should be able to pick it up.

I've gone over the pencils and will repost this a little later - there's a lot of detail that didn't show up - but thought it would be unsporting to modify the work after the 24 hours was up. If you're interested then keep an eye on my website and when i get a little more time i'll even continue the story (as you probably guessed it was cut a little short)

And congrats to all the entries - great to see a widespread interest in making comics!!
