Mark, you funny bugger! Great stuff. I have to go back and read Doug Assman story in detail (if that's at all possible) but great work dude. Kipper Edge eh? I love what you did with Kipper Pocket though. If I ever need a sypnosis, I know who to turn to! :p

I was already sort of rolling around and giggling reading the Douglarse one... and then you hit me with the parodies. ABSOLUTE GOLD. (I always thought talking about Doug's beard was what made anyone a true Australian comics artist?)

And Patrick really did say what I said he said last night! Actually most of the room rushed over to me when they realised I was typing it out. Eh heh heh.

I notice that the 'brown and sticky' theme didn't take you as far as you thought it would.

There were some great lines in there. Some pretty dodgy ones, too.

Who do I have to sleep with to get my comic Kipper parodied?

Here's a marketing tip, for all creators, if you get the opportunity to speak to a major National newspaper, its not the smartest thing to name your comic something, like, i don't know, "Cunt".

if i have more time I'll do more kipper parodies kipper kipper, 503kipper, kipperville, Southern Kipper, pop culture and 2 minute kippers, etc

of course i'll have to think of something first

Colin Wilson on his motorbike throwing work your way is one of the best panel sequences i've ever seen!! Look you're so excited and determined your tongue is sticking out!!

I like the cut of Kipper Huynh's jib; he's got spunk.

I'm scared because your knowledge of Doug's ass is as extensive as your knowledge of Aussie comics.

Plus you hold a sword like a lego-man in Kipper Edge!

(and for the record; I took time out from the marathon to watch Patrick abuse you too - don't act like you wouldn't do the same!)

I was trying to organise a back up just in case, especially since after 17 hours Patrick hadn't posted anything since his initial post.

I wasn't replacing him - honest.

I learnt my ninja sword fighting skills from Sensei "Yellow shredder" LegoSan, after i was kicked out of the School of the Kung fu grip. But i will seek revenge.

This was great fun! Digging up Kirk Douglas was a stroke of genius, and the parodies made me giggle. Thanks for the 'laffs', you crazy Mark Selan, you!

I've been saying nice things about you, you know! "That Mark Selan," I've been saying. "He's such a nice boy." I would only ever call you rude things to your face, or if I just felt like it. I love you, Mark!

Possibly I shouldn't have said to that nice lady from the newspaper, "I can tell from your voice you give good head." In retrospect that may not have been the best idea in the world.

Heh, that's funny. The one I did the cover of.

Not sure whether to be flattered or not. Wil choose to believe the glass is half full (as were my lungs).

Did you do that thing I always hate when I'm using cardboard as a ruler and the pen leaped off the line and across the board leaving a permanent mark that shows the inadequacy of using cardboard as a ruler? I hate that.
That's why I bought a steel ruler (which incidentally has scras on it where cutting blades have done the same thing!) Got me through a whole year of animated backgrounds. For 7 bucks. Sweet.
