I went, but I didn't buy anything, just me and a friend followed another friend who was actually buying one. We taped it, and when we finish cutting it we'll youtube it
I was dissapointed in the lineup though. I saw all this crazy shit in the States and Japan figure if it's half as big it'll be hilarious. It did turn out hilarious, but not for the reasons Nintendo would have wanted.
At 10.30pm we were still wondering if the dates were right, as it was just us 3. By the time the media Arrived from the Sydney Morning Herald and IGN there were more people there not buying a Wii then people buying it. We outnumbered the Wii purchasers 4 to 3. By the time midnight came there was a crowd of around 30 people max. Who included staff, parents, security guards and idiots with Cameras
I find Wii sports super fun, but I reckon I would get over it in a month and it'll be another toy gathering the dust, like my dramcast and PSone before it :P so I don't think I'll end up buying one.
I'll probably go to the PS3 launch aswell!
