Funding for comic creators

Postby Mopy on Tue Aug 16, 2005 8:13 pm

Is there much in the way of arts or small business funding that makes its way to comic creators in Australia?

Not much but the guys from Gestalt just pulled of something good. And I think David Tang had funding.

Its out there but it is a long, hard road to get. But it seems worth it at the end.

Actually, I was looking at a site recently and think Bruce Mutard may have received an arts council grant to complete his next Graphic Novel.

Ask the Victorian State Government for a grant, perhaps?

Or is that just for overweight taxi drivers who want to paint trees?
