Whinge- Australian comics where are you?

FYI: Just a note to say I _am_ still working on the inventory sheet thingy (tentatively called ComicWatch). Other things have slowed me down, but I _will_ finish it as soon as possible.

Attached is a little preview (except the default page would display 25, not 10 entries. I shortened it to get a screen capture.)

Looks good. One suggestion, it would be great to have a column for when it was last updated. This will help the community driven aspect as as records look older it will serve as an incentive to go out and update them. It will also save time and effort with minimising overlap so we don't all drive the one comics store nuts.

A very good suggestion. Thanks, Liz. I had intended it to show who last updated a record, but a date as well definitely makes sense.

Hello Gary,
Knight edge #1, 2& 3 were there - but I bought them all on that Friday so unless they re-stocked it after I left I???d say their sold out.

Well I was in Melbourne on Friday 02/09/05 and for those self publishers that are interested?? (Numbers in brackets)

Minotaur

Knight Edge Vol 1(0) , Vol 2 (1), Vol 3 (3)

Killaroo Vol 1 (0), Vol 2 (0)

Billy Light Blue cover (1 in damaged condition) Yellow Cover (1)

PC comics all titles and issues in stock

Herman the legal (4)

Nanna Shower (2)

Dirty Little Creep (1)

Comics R us
Killaroo numbers of vol 1 +2 in stock

Nanna Shower (1)

When asked about other Australian comics they guy said something along the lines of Australian comics are by and large not up to standard and there is little demand for them??.

Light Blue is #5, Yellow is #3

Damaged Condition? Thats troubling.

Minotaur, despite having the customer service of your average serial killer, have stocked and sold out of a lot of our books.

Don't mind the young fellas that work behind the counter at the city shop of Comics 'R Us. They just reflect the standard attitudes of any comic shop that deals in/and services the mainstream of comics. Most of them wouldn't know a decent Australian (or alternative, for that matter) comic if it came up and bit them on the bum.

cheers
