There site is still up, but all related posts about there business status (open? Closing? Closed?) are conflicting and lead only to me being confused and crying in front of my dog. Can anyone tell me what's going on before my dog leaves me for a tougher owner?

I think theres some speculation on what's happening, Ian Shires might know what's going on (he alluded to it at least over at Dimestore)... Ian?

I wouldn't bother. My dealings with them have been a waste of time. They told me they only accepted books that are carried by Diamond, which in my mind defeated the purpose as to why I would need to deal with them in the first place!

Don't quote me on this, but they may actually be owned by Diamond now... which would explain that little tidbit.

I don't think they have their own catalogue and so rely on Previews. Why not go directly to Diamond.

I got a large shipment of shirts from them about a month ago. Going through their online catalog at bthat tiem it was apparent they'd received virtually no stock for the past several months.

About a week ago, I got an e-mail from them saying their site had been down temporarily but that they were still in business. The e-mail also said they would be moving shortly.

Cold Cut has been up for sale for the past several months and it sounds like the sale may now have been completed.

I think I know who bought it but I'm not going to speculate about that publicly - it's not Diamond.

Hey guys, cheers for the info - I appreciate it...but I'm also a little disappointed - they seemed like the perfect people to handle The List, but maybe there's little point in approaching them. What a bumhole.

Oh well, better fill the car up then...looks like I might have a lot of riving to do. ;)

Btw: nice to meet you at SupaNova, Mr. Paulos. I did come home and write an account of my first big Con, mentioning everyone I met (such as yourself, Dave Carrol, Dean Rankin, Colin Wells and his wife Nicole, Julie from ASA - who I've been meaning to contact) but I got sidetracked and it never got finished).

No word from Matt High - who's still on the Cold Cut payroll, such as it now is - on who's buying the company yet. I think he'll post as soon as he gets word that he can publicly share on the subject.

Cold Cut's new owners are Rogue Wolf, a Chicago-based web comics company.

They expect to be back up to speed by the end of February. ... ogue-wolf/

Yep, and they'll probably be into distributing superhero stuff from now on, which is great news.

All they need is a POD tied in and we're set ;)
