If you find a cheap one let me know... so far the setup costs kill any chance of resellable small runs :P

I hate suggesting an internet POD, but what about Zazzle, Spreadshirt, Custom Ink, or even Cafe Press?

I've looked at Cafe Press but the cost is pretty steep, especially when you factor in their postage costs.

I've used Zazzle in the past.

Try machine (they are in Melb though)

Hey, this place is good ... www.machine.net.au or email info@machine.net.au

Twenty shirts one colour is about $230. Cheaper on reprint. If you are doing two-, three-, four- or more colour then think big print runs to bring the price down.

They are fast and good though. Not sure about postage to brisbane.

cheers

That comes down to about $11.50/shirt for one color. For a heavy cotton T-shirt with as many colors as I want (albeit limited design area), Spreadshirt runs $12.90/shirt, Zazzle $13.99/shirt, and CP $9-$14/shirt. However, at 20 shirts, most of those sites offer a 10%+discount (CP: 35%, Spreadshirt would offer 10%, and Zazzle offers 10% on twenty shirts).

If it helps...

Yeah, not bad. The image faded a little at first, but hasn't faded any further than that with subsequent washes, so I'd recommend them for some things. They've recently branched out to cover more products, kinda like Cafepress (ie. caps, mugs, ties etc.), so they're worth a look. They're not local, obviously, so postage is something you'd need to be very aware of.
