My Music, fuel 4 creating comics (free mp3's !)

I've been writing/playing music for as long as I've been drawing.

It's an equal, yet separate passion, a welcome distraction and a source of creative inspiration.

The themes of both music and comics for me are linked for the obvious reason that the same person is creating both.

Guitar based music like rock, metal and punk.

I started recording in '96 (on an ordinary tape deck). Graduated to an analog 4 track recorder in '98 (got a drum machine about the same time). And made the leap to 96 track digital in '03 (only need about 20 tracks!). I keep the analog 4 track as a backup and for ambient sound effects.

Here's some links to download pages for my mp3 files
keep in mind these are demos not studio recordings:

"high noon 03" instrumental, metal (nu school...ish)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/cqixpn

"forgotten suns 07" instrumental, rock
http://www.sendspace.com/file/10ap2o

"cold 05" instrumental, prog rock(?)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t830s9

"once more with feeling 07" instrumental, emotive metal(?)
...not sure how to tag this one either
http://www.sendspace.com/file/rycvkd

"no such thing 07" song, blues/hard rock (fair warning:I'm "singing")
http://www.sendspace.com/file/27nm1i

"Shadows in the hallway 07" acoustic instrumental (base x2)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/g2d8rh

got plenty more so if you like I can post more links ( 70 )

critical comments welcome. :D

cheers.

* ALL DEAD LINKS - SORRY.

I uploaded to sendspace but they take 'em down after 7 days (from the last download so they need to be constantly active or they get rid of them).

I'll look for something permanent soon.

thanx.

Man, it's so funny to see/hear some ones other creative outlets. It either makes complete sense or turns the view you had of that person upside down.
Great stuff Mike. If you can get a real drumkit it'll be even better.

THX Tom.

My creativity is all consuming. :D

I have a music sequencer (hand held device with a small keyboard, essentially a mini synthesizer) that has better drum samples on it. I stopped using it when I converted to digital recording but I've hocked the analog 4 track up again and I'll be using that and the sequencer from now on.

I'll post something new soon. ;)
