Hey Gary,
got around to reading the manifesto this week?? and I gotta say I started off sceptical but the guys a good communicator with some very interesting things to say ??? particularly about not giving up your day job ??? it???s actually is really good advice and something I???ll be using as succour to get me through the waste of space, soul destroying, menial and small entity I call my job (cash). I actually agree that if I was to quit (yes I have a cunning plan - I???m taking a lotto ticket this week) and just do comic books I would actually start to enjoy it less.
Anyway I sent the PDF to others in the organisation I work for that I would call creative (the whole 2 of them and neither in management). Thanks for the link.

Yeah, he makes some very intelligent and valid points that I think we all should think about as creative people.

I think in his case, he does enjoy his day job (cash) and therefore he's very comfortable with the method he's operating. For a lot of us, and I'm speaking generally from the tone people make about their day jobs, we don't like our day job very much. I found his point about making your career from the thing you love the most would destroy that thing to be most poignant.

I hope more people read this article because I found it insightful and helpful in many ways.
